How do I remove a graphic from a skateboard?

Question by Need that Shirt: How do I remove a graphic from a skateboard?

I bought an old longboard and the graphic is all scratched up. Should I sand it off (I'm just going to spray stencils on it) or is there a better way?

ooo dont destroy it by sanding it...just paint over it i guess...i really wouldnt know too much, i dont think you can remove it unless you grind like crazy...yeah-dont do that
