Military, Short, Return, Considered, absence, filing

Question by Marine.Wife.10: What is considered short military absence when filing a tax return?

I have been the in the USMC since June 2009, but my mother claimed me on her taxes saying it was only considered a short military absence.
What exactly is a short military absence? How long is this absence?
