What was the alternate ending to I am legend?

I seen the ending where the women & her son take Will Smiths blood to the community with the big wall around it, but I cant remember what the alternate ending was.

The zombie wins the girl. You can watch it here. It's a thousand times better than the ending they showed in theaters:
